Summer Mission!

Summer can be a quieter time of the year but there are some fantastic mission initiatives that people in Chawn are involved in. Lets be praying and supporting people! Here is just a very brief summary of who has and is going where...

Clive & Sylvia Dudbridge with Amy Reynolds are ministering in India and Bangladesh this summer. Several of our congregation will be leaving on Bless summer missions to France & Croatia on the 3rd of July. Ignite leave for Street Invaders on the 23rd of July. Dan Knight is about to return from getting a DTS with YWAM in Australia. Sarah Harper leaves on mission to Austria on the 23rd July.

Events Coming Up!

ONE Mission Pensnett
The ONE Mission starts Monday the 16th of August. We will be gardening for elderly, painting the new offices, putting on youth and children's activities and end the week with a community BBQ! Baptism!
We will be having a baptism on the 12th of September during the morning service. If you would like to know more about baptism please see James. We love to see people baptised!  

Street Invaders
A team of our young people will be leaving for Street Invaders in Canada where they will train and serve communities near Calgary. The team leave from the 23rd July-22nd August. We will gather to pray and send them out on Sunday the 18th of July.

Vision Sunday!

On 5th September everyone is welcome to come along to our vision Sunday when we will be sharing more about the next season of mission at Chawn, it promises to be an inspiring morning as we begin to explore some new developments for Chawn and Stourbridge. Please don't miss it!

Food Bank News

The Stourbridge Food bank called 'Replenish' at St John's Church in Stourbridge has a new Coordinator! Pat Johnson has taken up the position and if you'd like to become involved please contact her: 01384 373613. Joy Moss is the Chawn representative and will keep us up to date with Food Bank News and needs as they arise. Wendy Fryatt is the Black Country Food Bank Coordinator (looking after all the branches) and works from the main office in Halesowen.

Cafe Nero Alpha Course!

An Alpha Course is starting at Cafe Nero on Thursday the 27th of May at 6pm. All are welcome! We will be talking about Jesus and the bible for people who are interested in learning the basics of Christianity. The course will be meeting ongoing over the summer months.
