Summer Mission!

Summer can be a quieter time of the year but there are some fantastic mission initiatives that people in Chawn are involved in. Lets be praying and supporting people! Here is just a very brief summary of who has and is going where...

Clive & Sylvia Dudbridge with Amy Reynolds are ministering in India and Bangladesh this summer. Several of our congregation will be leaving on Bless summer missions to France & Croatia on the 3rd of July. Ignite leave for Street Invaders on the 23rd of July. Dan Knight is about to return from getting a DTS with YWAM in Australia. Sarah Harper leaves on mission to Austria on the 23rd July.

Events Coming Up!

Baptism!
We will be having a baptism on the 12th of September during the morning service. If you would like to know more about baptism please see James. We love to see people baptised! 
 
Going Deeper
Brian Eccleshall will be teaching a Going Deeper session in the Chawn Centre on Monday the 19th of July at 8pm. All are welcome!

Questions that will be discussed are: Was God ‘silent’ between Malachi and Matthew? What were the powers that ‘conspired against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed’ and why did they react so viciously to him?

Oasis Camp
Remember to pray for Oasis Bible Camp where 27 young people from Chawn including over 12 who have attended Friday evenings only so far will be going! They will leave Sunday the 25th of July and return on Sunday the 1st of August.

ONE Mission Pensnett
The ONE Mission dates for your diary are the 16th-20th August. Everyone is encouraged to get involved! Jen Hartnell will be bringing more details about this year’s ONE Mission soon.

Street Invaders
A team of our young people will be leaving for Street Invaders in Canada where they will train and serve communities near Calgary. The team leave from the 23rd July-22nd August. We will gather to pray and send them out on Sunday the 18th of July.

Cafe Nero Alpha Course!

An Alpha Course is starting at Cafe Nero on Thursday the 27th of May at 6pm. All are welcome! We will be talking about Jesus and the bible for people who are interested in learning the basics of Christianity. The course will be meeting ongoing over the summer months.
