At Chawn, the young people are very important to us. We love them and value them, big time. They give excitement to the church and bring an unpredictability that keeps us all on our toes (in a good way!).
Chawn has a great history of a vibrant and exciting youth group. We’ve gone through many different looks over the past decades, but the one thing that remains the same is our passion to develop young people to have a deep and exciting relationship with Jesus.
Our youth groups are thriving and growing, and we’ve got loads going on for young people in school years 7-13.
Sunday Mornings
During the second half of the Sunday morning service, we go across to the church centre for Bible teaching, prayer, games and lots of fun. We chat about life, discover more about the Bible, and learn about God in new and interesting ways.
Cell Groups
Our cell groups meet on Thursday nights from 7:30-9:30pm at the church. We explore the Bible, pray for each other, and chat through issues that we’re facing. Some nights we have worship and hear from a speaker; other times we do something a bit more creative, and once a month we try to get out into the community and find new ways to love Stourbridge. We always start off with a time altogether, and then split into age-specific cell groups to go deeper into God’s word, have great discussions and support each other. It’s always a great night, with lots of laughing, banter and fun, and plenty of space to chill out and catch up with friends.
Ignite Youth
Ignite is the weekly Friday night youth group at Chawn Hill Church, Stourbridge. We meet from 7:30-9:30 pm in the church centre. If you're aged between 11 and 19, come along for a great night of exciting games & activities. There's space to chill out, have a laugh with your mates, play xbox or table tennis, listen to music and chat with our great leaders! Late Night Ignite runs from 9:30-10:00pm and is a space for you to ask questions, find out more about Christianity and look at life's big issues.
Summer 2012
This summer, we will be taking a group to Soul Survivor 2012! A few of us went last summer and had a fantastic time, and we’re really excited about taking the youth this summer. Soul Survivor is a five day Christian festival based at the Royal Bath and West Show Ground near Shepton Mallet, Somerset. Each year, thousands of young people gather to worship, be inspired, empowered and changed by Jesus. Each day there are morning and evening meetings, where we spend time worshipping God with music, learning more about Him through the Bible, and waiting on the Holy Spirit to change us and equip us to live our lives for Him. As well as large main meetings and seminars, there are live music venues, a skatepark, cafes, a sports programme and much much more! To find out more, visit www.soulsurvivor.com/uk.

Chawn has a great youth team of enthusiastic leaders, who have all been CRB checked, are committed to setting an example as disciples of Jesus and having fun.
